Tim Kirk's paintings display a soft attention to detail that is of interest to me. They are well posed. I do wish there were more examples of Tim Kirk's Tolkien work. I use the picture of Gandalf on my Gandolf page to explain to Tolkien fans Why 'GANDOLF' and not 'GANDALF'? (I still get e-mail from people asking why I mispell Gandalf's name.)

The following artwork appeared in A Tolkien Treasury ISBN 0-89471-704-9.

This page is relies on the work of Brad Spencer and his page eldar.org Tolkien Art Gallery. Brad's page allows you to group pictures into one request; this page is designed for individual, one at a time down loading.

Brad's page also contains some additional detail paintings, or cropped versions of some of the artwork that I do not include.
